Wolfsheim fue un grupo formado en 1987 en Hamburgo, Alemania. Integrado por Markus Reinhardt y Pompejo Ricciardi. El nombre de la banda estuvo inspirado en un personaje de ficción del libro de F. Scott Fitzgerald -El gran Garsby-.
El hermano de Reinhart, Oliver, se unió a la banda poco después. Tras producir una cinta con maquetas, Ricciardi dejó el grupo y fue sustituído por Peter Heppner. Heppner conocía la banda por amigos comunes y por vivir en el mismo barrio en Hamburgo. Oliver dejó la banda, dejándola en su formación actual con Heppner como vocalista y Reinhardt en teclados.
La primera aparición pública del grupo fue en "Wekstatt 3", un pequeño club de Hamburgo.
Sus discos están compuestos mayormente por canciones en inglés junto a unas pocas en alemán.

The brother of Reinhart, Oliver, was united shortly after to the band. After producing a tape with scale models, Ricciardi left the group and was replaced by Peter Heppner. Heppner knew the band by common friend and live in the same district in Hamburg. Oliver left the band, leaving it in its present formation with Heppner like singer and Reinhardt in keyboards.
The first public appearance of the group was in " Wekstatt 3" , a small club of Hamburg.
Their racords are mainly singed in English and to a few in German.
